The MPRP Foundation

Community-based expression of the Middle Path Recovery Project

The Middle Path Recovery Project Foundation exists to translate the principles of the Middle Path Recovery Project (MPRP) into direct community impact. As the nonprofit, community-based expression of MPRP, the Foundation focuses on education, outreach, and access—bringing evidence-based, harm-reduction–oriented recovery and wellness tools to individuals and communities often underserved by traditional systems of care. Our work centers on compassion, balance, and practical support—meeting people where they are and helping them build sustainable paths toward health, purpose, and resilience.

Our Mission

The mission of the Middle Path Recovery Project Foundation is to advance evidence-based, holistic, harm-reduction approaches that empower individuals affected by opioid use disorder (OUD), substance use disorder (SUD), and co-occurring mental health conditions to rebuild their lives with purpose. Through mindfulness, education, peer support, and trauma-informed care, we help individuals cultivate resilience, discover meaning, and sustain long-term recovery.

Our Purpose

The Foundation exists to make recovery and wellness tools accessible to all—especially those with limited access to traditional treatment options.

We promote a compassionate, evidence-based model of care that integrates modern science, emotional intelligence, and contemplative practices to reduce suffering and support meaningful, lasting change.

Our purpose includes:

  • Providing free or low-cost community seminars, mindfulness-based recovery workshops, and group coaching programs in underserved regions

  • Supporting individuals impacted by OUD and SUD through education, self-awareness training, and harm-reduction practices

  • Partnering with tribal nations, correctional facilities, halfway houses, and treatment centers to deliver mindfulness-based recovery education

  • Developing peer-support networks and training models rooted in compassion, balance, and long-term resilience

Support the Work

The Middle Path Recovery Project Foundation is in the process of applying for its own 501(c)(3) status. During its first year of operations, the Foundation is seeking the support of a fiscal sponsor to establish strong organizational infrastructure, ensure compliance, and responsibly steward early funding.

We welcome conversations with individual donors, foundations, and partners aligned with our mission.
